Product Description

Product Description

Bismuth Subcarbonate Tablets

Indications and Uses:
For the treatment of gastroenteritis and diarrhea.

Dosage and Administration:
Oral administration: Single dose, 1-6.7 tablets for dogs.

Specifications:
Contains 0.3g bismuth subcarbonate per tablet.
2 blister packs × 6 tablets × 0.3g.

Adverse reactions:
No adverse reactions have been observed when used according to the prescribed dosage.

[Precautions]
(1) For diarrhea caused by pathogenic bacteria, antibiotics should be used to control the infection before using this product.
(2) After alkaline nitrate is decomposed in the intestine, it can form nitrite, which can be absorbed in large amounts and cause poisoning.

Pharmacological action:
This product is difficult to absorb when taken orally. A small part of it dissociates into anchor ions in the gastrointestinal tract and combines with proteins to produce astringent and protective effects. Most of the lead subnitrate is coated on the surface of the intestinal membrane. At the same time, the free lead ions can also combine with hydrogen sulfide in the intestine to form insoluble sulfide chains, which cover the surface of the intestine, thereby providing mechanical protection for the intestinal membrane and reducing the irritation of hydrogen sulfide to the intestinal membrane.
