Pharmacological action:
β-lactam antibiotic. Its antibacterial effect is similar to that of cephalexin, but its antibacterial effect on Salmonella and Shigella is weaker than that of cephalexin. Enterococci, Enterobacter, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, etc. are resistant to this product. After oral administration, it is stable in gastric acid and absorbed rapidly, and is not affected by food. After oral administration of 22mg/kg to dogs, the blood drug peak concentration reaches 18.6µg/mL within 1 to 2 hours, and only 20% of the drug is bound to plasma proteins. It is excreted in large quantities in urine with a half-life of 2 hours. 50% of the prototype drug appears in the urine within 24 hours after administration. The half-life of cats is close to 3 hours.
